Summary

The article describes the socio-economic functions of education and the mechanisms for improving their implementation, describes ways to assess the socio-economic effectiveness of higher education.

There are many criteria for assessing the socio-economic effectiveness of higher education. The most important of them is the growth of the material well-being of society. The level of income and social status of the employee is determined by the level of education.
